Do

“Do” (도) is written with the Hanja character 道, and fundamentally means ‘way’ or ‘path’. However, it extends beyond the simple meaning of a road to encompass philosophical and moral concepts such as the fundamental principle of the universe, the right reason for life, moral principles, or a guide.

For example, in Eastern philosophy, “Do” represents human nature or the laws of the universe. In Buddhism, it is understood as the path to enlightenment or the path to the cessation of suffering. In essence, “Do” is a concept that carries a broad meaning, encompassing not only physical paths but also the path of life, the path of truth, and the path of spiritual practice.
